An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver expanding toast/letter rack; an addition to our dining silverware collection
This exceptional antique sterling silver expandable toast / letter rack has a rounded form.
This antique silver toast rack has six compartments divided by a circular wirework arched frame, incorporating a central plain circular carrying handle.
The expandable pivoted base is supported by four bun style feet.
Such examples of expandable toast racks are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
Condition
This antique expanding silver toast rack is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition, for its type.
There are some surface blemishes in keeping with age and use.
Full hallmarks struck to the handpiece are clear.

These fine antique George III Newcastle sterling silver teaspoons have been crafted in Old English pattern.
The anterior surface of the terminal of each handle is embellished with the contemporary engraved initials ‘WIE’.
Each spoon features an extended drop heel to the reverse of the bowl; this ornamentation is otherwise known as a strap drop.
These Fine Georgian silver teaspoons, crafted by the renowned and collectable Newcastle silversmith John Langlands II, are exceptional examples of their type.
