The neck of the antique glass inkwell is encircled with an impressive silver mount and fitted with a compressed circular hinged hallmarked sterling silver cover. The cover opens to reveal the removable glass ink liner. The interior of the cover retains the original gilt interior. The impressive glass body of this inkwell is embellished with hobnail style deep cut glass ornamentation to the underside.
