19th Century Antique Victorian 1852 Sterling Silver Bachelor Coffee Pot

A magnificent, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver bachelor coffee pot made by John Samuel Hunt; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver coffee pot has a naturalistic pumpkin shaped form onto four feet. The body of this antique silver coffee pot is embellished with exceptional chased decoration replicating the details of layered leaves. This sterling silver coffee pot is fitted with a domed hinged hallmarked cover ornamented with a naturalistic texture and surmounted with the original, fine and impressive cast silver bud and leaf decorated finial. The impressive coffee pot is fitted with a naturalistic cast silver C shaped handle in the form of interlacing branches, incorporating an impressive organic leaf designs to the sockets. The Victorian coffee pot is fitted with a swan necked spout realistically ornamented with branch textures, accented with further leaf designs in junction with the body. The coffee pot is supported by four exceptional cast silver branch decorated feet. This exceptional sterling silver coffee pot was crafted by the notable and collectable silversmith John Samuel Hunt and bears the retailer's mark 'Hunt & Roskell, Late Storr & Mortimer' and registration number '6012' to the underside. Condition This English, John Samuel Hunt coffee pot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The cast and chased decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the coffee pot and the part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Victorian teaware.
