About the Item

This delightful vine pattern sterling silver bowl by Tiffany features a daisy motif around the top side rim, and is monogrammed Margaret Foster Smith 1893. The piece is marked on the bottom Tiffany & Co. 8175T3928- 1 1/2 pints. Authentic Tiffany silver hollow ware is generally marked Tiffany & Co and includes date letters indicating the period it was made. The first date letter M used by Tiffanys represented Edward C. Moore, who was the head of Tiffany's silver operations until 1891. After his death, the date letters were based on the initial of the then current Tiffany president 1891-1902 Charles L. Tiffany, which includes this piece. A nice small size for many uses, this petite bowl measures 3 inches tall, 6 inches in diameter at top and 2 .75 inches diameter at the bottom.
