A fine and impressive antique Spanish silver candlestick; an addition of our ornamental silverware collection
This fine antique Spanish silver candlestick has a waisted circular shaped form onto a domed circular shaped base to a colet style rim.
The surface of this impressive antique candlestick is ornamented in a swirl design.
The impressive waisted knopped column is fitted to the base with a screw fitting, as to be expected for such a candlestick.
This silver candlestick does not have a weighted base.
This antique Spanish candlestick, crafted in Barcelona, has a good patination*.
*Patination or Patina is a subtle colouration or tarnish which forms on the surface of some metals, produced by oxidation or other chemical processes. A good patina proffers an aesthetically pleasing look.
Condition
This antique candlestick is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent condition.

These exceptional antique Edwardian English sterling silver candlesticks have a plain square form in the classic Arts and Crafts style.
The plain hallmarked waisted cylindrical capitals of these antique silver candlesticks surmount circular rounded drip pans.
The capitals are supported by plain faceted tapering columns embellished with a broad band of rivet decoration to the lower portion.
The square base of each candlestick is embellished with a continuation of applied rivet style decoration to the corners.
The weighted silver bases of these impressive Arts & Crafts candlesticks are fitted with green baize to the underside.
