About the Item
Pair of enameled vases designed by Anton Michelsen.
This is a gorgeous pair of enameled vases created in Copenhagen Denmark by the Anton Michelsen Co., back in the 1930. The vases have been crafted with fluted patterns in solid .925/.999 sterling silver and decorated with incised engravings. They are embellished with applications of vivid blue glass enamel and the interiors are treated with 24kt gilding.
Weight: 232.4 Grams (149.3 Dwt).
Measurements: 63 mm by 70 mm by 70 mm (2.45 x 2.76 x 2.76 Inches).
Hallmarks: Both are stamped with Danish marks; the maker's mark, the marks for the assay and warranty of the silver and signed as follow, "A. MICHELSEN COPENHAGEN DENMARK 1.9 STERLING X".
Anton Michelsen Company
He was born 1809 in Copenhagen Denmark; he completed a goldsmith's apprenticeship in Odense in 1839 before moving back to Copenhagen where he continued his training in Dyrkoph's and court goldsmith J.B. Dalhoff's workshops. He also attended the Royal Danish Academy of Arts where he was influenced by Gustav Friedrich Hersch. In 1836, he went on a long journey abroad, working in some of the leading goldsmiths in Germany and Paris. He established his own goldsmith in Gothersgade, Copenhagen when he returned to Denmark in 1841. He immediately won the attention of the royal family and the king Christian VIII charged him with executing all Danish orders with title of royal court and order jeweler. Michelsen was the only Danish goldsmith who was represented at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1855. The company of A. Michelsen, was a leading Danish jeweler founded in 1841 by Anton Michelsen in Copenhagen. It was responsible for executing all Danish royal orders and was absorbed by the Georg Jensen company in 1985.
Condition: The overall condition of these enameled vases by Anton Michelsen is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver or the enamel. This pair has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and authenticity.

Beautiful pair of salt and pepper shakers, created in Baltimore by The Schofield Company, back in the 1905. This pair is from the iconic pattern named Baltimore Rose and was carefully crafted in the art nouveau style with a repousse of floral motifs in solid .925/.999 sterling silver. Pear shaped and mounted in three sabots and fitted with removable lids on top.

Beautiful antique pair of salt cellars created at the Tiffany & Co. in New York city, back in the 1921. This model was crafted in solid .925/.999 sterling silver with high polished finish. made under the directory presidency of John C. Moore during the art deco period, between 1907-1947. The cellars were designed with classical George III styles, based in the original designs made in London by Dorothy Mills in 1755. As with all Tiffany pieces, the quality and design are beyond compared. Exceptional and rare example of Tiffany's finest work.
Components: Two salt cellars and two salt spoons.
Weight: 190.95 Grams, (122.45 Dwt).
Measurements: 76 mm by 76 mm by 33 mm (3 x 3 x 1.30 Inches).
Hallmarks: They are each stamped with the maker's mark, the silver assay mark, the order number, the inventory reference, the letter M for John C.
