Art Nouveau sugar bowl of oval, rounded form, standing on four rocaille feet, rocaille decoration in relief on the wall and hinged lid, sculpted, towering rocaille volutes forming a handle, discreet monogram, key present.
Hallmarks:
- Diana's head - Austrian official hallmark 1872-1922 for 800 Silver
- Master's mark 'MG' for JOSEF B. GEDLITZKA'S SONS
Silverware factory, founded in 1857, owned by Maximilian and Karl Josef Gedlitzka, existed until 1922
