An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our wine and drinks related silverware collection This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver goblet has a circular bell-shaped form onto a pedestal domed, spreading foot. The surface of this vintage silver goblet has a subtly planished finish. The body of the goblet is further ornamented with three impressive cast and applied leaf designs, emanating and conjoining with the plain waisted stem. The plain domed circular foot features an impressive tiered arrangement. This exceptional goblet was crafted by the female silversmith Joan Ruxton and assayed in Sheffield; the vessel is hallmarked with the date letter 'X' (1965) and the underside bears the mark 'A' (1968)*. * It can be determined that this artisanal silversmith will have opted to create an addition plate for the base to provide further weight to the piece, this component was hallmarked at a later date to the initial vessel. An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware. This exceptional antique Victorian silver goblet, in sterling standard, has a circular bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot. The body of this silver goblet is embellished with bright cut engraved foliate and floral festoons suspended from ribbon bow motifs. The upper portion of this sterling silver goblet is encompassed with bright cut engraved layered leaf decorated border. The foot is ornamented with further bright cut engraved simplified leaf decorated border, reflecting the design to the rim. Condition This antique Victorian silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The goblet has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the goblet are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
