Dutch Silver Bierdermeier Sugar Sifter spoon by Hendrik Van der Ree, 1850 A silver sugar sifter serving spoon made by the Silver smith Hendrik van der Ree, worked during 1841-1853 in Schoonhoven Dutch Silver Hall marks of the Lion 2 (used during 1814-1953), Year Letter Q for 1850 and Minerva head (office mark) 833/ 1000 purity of silver During the mid-19th century, silver was very precious and silver objects were made, but from thin silver, which is why the silver objects from this time are very light and fragile The measurements are: 15 cm long, 7 cm wide and the depth is 7 cm The weight is 22 gram.
