Bottle opener in the "Lily of the Valley" pattern. Polished sterling silver with an elegant handle ending in subtle floral and leaf decoration. Designer: Harald Nielsen (pattern "Lily of the Valley", introduced 1913) Material: Sterling silver Dimensions: L. 11.5 cm Mark: Stamped "Georg Jensen", "Denmark Sterling" Period: c. 1933–1944 In very good condition. An early and classic example of one of Georg Jensen’s most iconic cutlery patterns, highly sought after by collectors. Georg Jensen (1866–1935) founded his silversmithy in Copenhagen in 1904. The company quickly gained international recognition for combining artistic design with superb craftsmanship. The "Lily of the Valley" pattern, designed by Harald Nielsen in 1913, remains one of the earliest and most elegant cutlery designs from the workshop.
