Georgian Solid Silver Cream Ewer – London 1759 An attractive mid-18th century English solid silver cream ewer, hallmarked for London, 1759. Of baluster form, the body is richly decorated in repoussé with scrolling foliage and flower heads. The shaped rim has a gadrooned border, and the cast scroll handle is finished with a leaf-wrapped detail. One cartouche bears a period monogram. The ewer stands on a spreading circular foot with matching floral ornament. Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for London, 1759. Maker’s mark rubbed and indistinct. Dimensions: Height: 12 cm Width: 10.5 cm Depth: 6.5 cm Weight: 129.6 grams Condition: Good antique condition. Stands securely, with only light wear and tarnish in keeping with age.
