About the Item

From Kirk & Sons Silversmiths, an Estate Sterling Silver bacon fork in the Wakefield pattern, circa 1850- 1925. Now a discontinued pattern, the simple lines of the Wakefield pattern was popular in America at the turn of the 20th Century. A long handled fork with a wide front plate of graduated tines. Made of a solid piece of silver, weighing 1.556 Ounces Troy. Engraved on the verso terminal, MS Marked: S. Kirk & Sons Inc. 7.75 in. L x 2.75 in. W x 1 in. H Very good, showing the lightly polished patina.
