Large Antique English Sterling Silver George III Period Tankard

About the Item

This large and substantial antique tankard is hallmarked by an unknown maker and originated from England, dating to approximately 1740 and done in the period George 3rd style. The tankard is composed of sterling silver with an engraved crest on the front and a sturdy curled handle and clasp to raise the stepped dome lid. The tankard is clearly hallmarked on the bottom with the lion pessant and the date lettering for the Georgian period.
