Massive Antique Silver Flatware Set for 24, Austrian, 376 Pieces

About the Item

.800 fineness solid silver, circa 1830-1840 and circa 1870, two generation set, Austria. This amazing 19th-century service for 24 will perfectly complement any style of décor, antique to modern. Originally from a castle on the Swiss border, this set belonged to a Petite Noble family distantly in the Hapsburg line of succession. Inscribed with two different ornate monograms, each featuring a five-point crown, the set was originally created by one generation and later expanded by another. The weight and scale of the pieces are marvelous and the quality superb. It is rare to find a service of this age so complete and in excellent condition throughout.
