Arts and Craft Mid-18th Century Engraved Sterling Silver Box
About the Item
This fine sterling silver box is a piece of high craftmenship. All the surfaces are finely engraved with rich Baroque decor. It is a little jewel of handmade work.
It was a jewel box with its key. The key was lost but it is a piece of a great charme, a piece of a timeless beauty and it can be useful also nowadays as jewel box.
The surfaces outside are fully engraved, the surfaces inside are smooth. The cover is well working.
On the back of the cover are visible the two marks of the silver. The marks are referring to the provenance from Germany and certificate that the metal is sterling silver.
The piece will be delivered with its Certificate of Authenticity.
