A fine and impressive antique Georgian Newcastle sterling silver sauce boat made by John Langlands I & John Robertson I, an addition to our silver dining collection. This exceptional antique Georgian sterling silver sauce boat has a plain oval rounded form onto three scrolling feet. The surface of this antique gravy boat is plain and embellished with the contemporary engraved initials 'I.L'. The gravy boat is fitted with an impressive opposing scroll handle with a scrolling leaf decorated thumb piece. This impressive example of Georgian silverware is supported by three impressive applied scrolling hoof style feet with impressive shell motifs in junction with the body. This exceptional silver sauce boat is crafted by the renowned Newcastle silversmiths John Langlands I & John Robertson I. Condition This antique silver sauceboat is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition for its type. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body are all very clear.
