These exceptional antique sterling silver pepper grinders have a circular baluster shaped form. The surface of each pepper is plain and the lower portion is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting out of a ducal coronet a horse's head*. These impressive silver peppers retain the original hallmarked circular rounded covers, each surmounted by the functional sterling silver finial; this allows access to permit the grinder to be filled. The underside of each grinder retains the original serrated grille and horizontal securing bar.
