A loving cup presented to the Georgia Hussars of Savannah for the winning score in the calvary tilt that followed the unveiling ceremony for the Oglethorpe monument in Savannah on November 23rd, 1910. In relief: "The Oglethorpe Monument Cup - Tilting - 11th Cavalry USA; Governors Horse Guards, Atlanta, Ga; Georgia Hussars, Savannah, Ga. Won by Georgia Hussars - Nov. 23rd, 1910." The Daniel Chester French monument bronze depicted in relief on reverse with applied cotton boll ornamentation. Gorham; marked “sterling, 4022A, 15 pints” with hallmarks 14 inches wide by 9 inches deep by 16 inches tall 108 troy ounces

Rosario Russell Fiore (American, 1908-1994) A plaster maquette of General James Oglethorpe, 1976 14 inches wide by 18 inches deep by 38 inches tall Rosario R. Fiore was a prominent American sculptor and member of the National Sculpture Society. Fiore studied at the Mechanics Institute, the National Academy of Design, and the Beaux Arts Academy. Protege of Robert Aitken, he assisted with the creation of the figures in the pediment of the Supreme Court Building, the front of the Archives, and in the Samuel Gompers Memorial. It measures 4'' in diameter by 2 1/2'' in height, weighs 4.9 ozt, and bears hallmarks as shown. According to his 1971 obituary from the New York Times, "W. Allston Flagg, an investment banker and former governor of the New York Stock Exchange, was a collateral descendant, and namesake of Washington Allston, the early 19th-century American painter.
