Pair of Onslow Pattern Geo 111 Silver Stuffing Spoons 1762 William Withers The Onslow scroll was first designed by Arthur Onslow (1691-1768), the Great Speaker of Parliament. The onslow part of the spoon is cast , the rest is forged. The two parts are joined together with a scarf joint. Genuine Onslow pattern is extremely rare and the true period in time is from 1760's to 1780's. The gauge of silver used is heavy weighing in at 7.92 troy ounces
