About the Item
Oval shaped external photo frame in 925/1000 sterling silver gold plated with translucent fired enamels on guilloché and hand-painted floral miniatures. Viennese Art Nouveau style, second half of the 19th century. Blue velvet panel. External dimensions cm. 9 x 12 internal oval cm. 6.3 x 9.8. Weight gr. 112. Designed by Renato Salimbeni in 1961 inspired by previous products also by the Salimbeni company, and manufactured in Florence with manual workmanship by skilled artisan artists with a high thickness plate and large reinforcements suitable for supporting numerous high-fire enamel firings at around 800° C.
