Unusual shakers set designed by Robert Wallace & Sons. A beautiful set of 6 salt & pepper shakers, designed during the WWII period, circa 1940's. They was crafted with patriotic motifs in the shape of bullets in solid .925/.999 sterling silver, with high polish finish. They have a combined weight of 71.8 grams and a measurements of 56 mm by 22 mm (2.21 x 0.87 inches). Each one is stamped, with the deer assay hallmarks, the model, serially numbered and signed, "RW & S STERLING 207". Robert wallace & sons, (born 1835) was formed in wallingford Connecticut and incorporated in 1879. As of 1893, this company manufactured silver and plated ware and cutlery. Note: Very rare and elusive patriotic pieces made by this american silversmith company. They are in perfect vintage condition with no bums, dents or previous repairs. INVENTORY REF: D0000MENG/.1111.

    Pair of shakers designed by Schofield. Beautiful pair of salt and pepper shakers, created in Baltimore by The Schofield Company, back in the 1905. This pair is from the iconic pattern named Baltimore Rose and was carefully crafted in the art nouveau style with a repousse of floral motifs in solid .925/.999 sterling silver. Pear shaped and mounted in three sabots and fitted with removable lids on top. Weight: 155.45 Grams, (99.64 Dwt). Measures: 51 mm by 115 mm (2.01 x 4.53 Inches).     An exceptional, fine and impressive, pair of vintage English cast sterling silver and enamel salt and pepper set, in the form of a soft boiled egg in an egg holder - boxed; an addition to our silver cruets or condiments collection. These exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver condiment set consists of a salt Shaker, a pepper Shaker and two spoons. The pieces of this silver and enamel salt and pepper set have been realistically modelled in the form of soft boiled eggs in egg cups. Each condiment Shaker is ornamented with an enamel eggshell design with the top portion 'cracked' away to reveal the pierced salt and pepper holes; the upper portion of the pepper retains the original gilding. The enamel and silver egg covers detach from a bayonet style fitment to a brown enamel decorated egg cup; once the cover is removed it can be determined the pieces were commissioned to be used as functional egg cups. The spoons have circular rounded bowls to plain waisted stems and terminate with cast finials encircled with scalloped borders and circular motifs, accented with initial 'M' to one and 'N' to the other. These vintage silver and enamel salt and pepper set are fitted to the original hinged crimson leatherette presentation box, with a velvet and satin lined interior and secures with two hinged catches.
