A fine set of 4 antique California silver place spoons. In coin silver. By Vanderslice. In the Comstock pattern. Monogrammed with an "S" to the handle. Fully marked to the reverse for Vanderslice & Co., San Franscisco, California, and with a patent mark for 1869 or 1888. Simply a wonderful group of antique California silver spoons! Date: Late 19th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Otherwise, there is some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Maker: Vanderslice & Co. Pattern: Comstock Marks: Marked to the reverse of each handle for Vanderslice & Co / S.F. CAL. / Pat Mar 69 Fineness: Unmarked for silver fineness. Likely coin. Measurements: Length: ca. 8 1/2 in.
