Set of Four Aurum Silver Gilt 'College of Arms' Goblets, Hector Miller, 1984

About the Item

A set of four Parcel-Gilt Sterling Silver Goblets, by Hector Miller for Aurum, London, 1984. The goblets are numbered 33, 34, 36, and 364, from a limited edition of 500. The goblets are each crafted with a plain bowl above a stem with three heraldic lions, on a tapering circular foot with gilt floral detail. The goblets were commissioned by The Kings, Heralds, and Pursuivants of Arms to commemorate the Quincentenary in 1984 of The College of Arms. The goblets are engraved to the base: 'NUMBER [33, 34, 36, or 364] OF A LIMITED EDITION OF 500 MADE BY ORDER OF THE KINGS, HERALDS, PURSUIVANTS OF ARMS TO COMMEMORATE THE QUINCENTENARY IN 1984 OF THE COLLEGE OF ARMS', & 'AURUM'. Assay: .925 Sterling Silver. Period: Late 20th Century. Date: 1984. Maker: Hector Miller. Measurement: Approximately 16.9cm (height) x 6.4cm (diameter). The goblets can hold approximately 140ml - to the brim. Weight: 1197 grams (combined weight). Condition: The silver parcel-gilt goblets are in good condition.
