About the Item

Stunning Art Nouveau huge silver flower bowl/Jardinière with original glass liner Hallmarked (GERMAN SILVER) manufactured circa 1905 It is an outstanding huge silver flower bowl (jardinière) with most elegant original glass liner. Referring to style, this flower bowl was made during Art Nouveau Period. Various decorations cover reticulated bowl's silver surface: -- ornaments of abstract type (Meander patterns, scrolls and borders) -- ornaments of floral type (garlands of flower's blossoms with leaves) The bowl's inner side is gilded. Additionally, a nice handle is existing, fitting the bowl in finest manner. The scalloped oblong glass liner - having smooth surface - is decorated with a cut star pattern at bottom. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Art Nouveau Period/made circa 1905 hallmarked silver 800 branded by German Official Silver Stamp: Crescent with Crown master’s mark (WTB) existing: It is the manufactory WILHELM Binder of SCHWAEBISCH GMUEND (Southern Germany / district Baden-Wuerttemberg), founded in the year 1869. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Measures: height: 36.0 cm / 14.17 inches length: 39.5 cm / 15.55 inches depth: 20.5 cm / 8.07 inches ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Condition: Excellent condition (there aren't any imperfections such as dents and scratches on silver mounting existing / the glass part is in mint condition, too).
