A Silver Austrian Hannukah Lamp, Circa 1925
About the Item
Modern and stylish Hanukkah lamp made at the beginning of the modern period of the 20th century in Austria.
Hannukah lamp is mounted on a well-rounded oval stepped base which is supported by four ball feet.
Main body is pierced with four large C-Scroll designs centered by a Star of David.
Atop the main body is a rectangular balustrade pierced with the words " In Honor of Hanukkah flanking a decalogue with Roman numerals.
Servant lamp can be detached at the center of the main stem, and the eight oil jars which surprisingly are meant to hold candles are applied to the top of the Hannukah lamp
Hallmarked at the top front of the oval base.
