About the Item

Oval shaped massive silver bowl with movable bow handle. The plan is radially driven, merging into a wave-shaped edge lined with volutes, accentuated by cartouches and flower panicles. Volutes and leaf decoration also on the handle. The bowl is based on an oval, profiled, stepped foot. Finest piece of Arts & Crafts from the Viennese silver manufacturer 'Jarosinsky & Vaugoin', made circa 1925. Solid 800 Silver Branded by the Toucan head, the Viennese official hallmark 1922 - 1939, and from 1946 Manufactory sign: 'J.V' for the company 'Jarosinski & Vaugoin', one of the oldest still existing Viennese silver manufacturers. Jarosinski & Vaugoin has been producing silver cutlery, tableware and everyday items as well as jewelry and art objects for over 150 years. Orders were also carried out for the Bulgarian, Romanian and Greek courts.
