About the Item

Being offered is a sterling silver Etrog Box. An Etrog is the yellow citronor fruit used by Jews during the week-long holiday of Sukkot as one of the four species. Together with the lulav, hadass, and aravah, the Etrog is taken in hand and held or waved during specific portions of the holiday prayers. Special care is often given to selecting an Etrog for the performance of the Sukkot holiday rituals. An Etrog box is a type of box used to keep the Etrog and to transport in to synagogue for the services. This box has a series of swirls going around the body and cover. It also stands on four legs. A great gift for the man of the house.
