A very rare and old sterling silver fish set - fork and server by Ball Black & CO being offered, hallmarked 1862. On the server’s blade an etched scene of fish jumping into water and an etched design. The fork has a reticulated pattern and etching along the tines. Old world elegance at its finest!

The blade of the knife and the drop of the fork have an incurved shaped form. The anterior of the knife is embellished with a bright cut engraved band of leaf ornamentation paralleling the shaped side of the blade, accented with a suspended floral festoon and fabric swag designs.
