    An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver salver - boxed; part of our dining silverware collection This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver salver has a plain oval form. The surface of this large salver is embellished with an impressive contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a demi-lion rampant murally crowned, holding between his paws a bezant, above the motto 'Animum fortuna sequatur' - Fortune follows the spirited*. The salver is fitted with an impressive cast and applied scalloped gallery border accented with simplified leaf designs to the nadir, in addition to applied bead and spindle ornamentation to the internal circumference. The salver is supported by four impressive bracket style feet, each embellished with gadroon decorated borders and a scrolling foot. The underside of this exceptional Edwardian salver bears the contemporary engraved inscription 'To Y. & I.B. from H. & F.W. Jan 29th 1907'.
