Stuart Devlin 1973 Sterling Silver Goblet

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver commemorative goblet made by Stuart Devlin; an addition to our wine and drinks related silverware collection. This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver goblet has a cylindrical tapering form onto a shaped pedestal to a circular domed foot. The surface of this vintage Stuart Devlin goblet drinking vessel is plain and unembellished. The textured finished pedestal is encircled with five protruding replica coins. The pedestal and coins all retain the original gilding. The underside of the goblet bears the commemorative marks 'The Bristol '6oo' Goblet, No 345 of a Limited Edition of 600'. This impressive commemorative goblet was crafted by the distinguished and collectable silversmith Stuart Devlin for the Heritage Collection. The Bristol 600 exhibition was a celebration in 1973 of the 600th anniversary of King Edward III giving Bristol the right to call itself a county. Condition This vintage Stuart Devlin goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface are all very clear.     An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot. The body of this 1870s silver goblet is embellished with bright cut engraved foliate festoons accented with pensile leaf drops; these vertical designs form four cartouches. The cartouche to one side bears a bright cut engraved fruit design; the further three remain vacant. The knopped stem is encircled with a plain moulded border to the centre. The foot is ornamented with further bright cut engraved overlapping arch designs, accented with an applied bead decorated border to the rim. Condition This antique 1870s silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The goblet has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp and the applied ornamentation is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the goblet are all very clear.
