A rare Tetard tea service of seven pieces in all sterling silver. Fabulous neoclassical pattern with a frieze of laurels. The set includes a hot water urn/samovar with its original burner, a chocolate pot, a coffee pot, a teapot, a covered sugar pot and a creamer. No monograms. A majestic french sterling silver hot water urn/samovar is complete with its original burner endowed with a handle. Body, lid, burner and stand are original and in French sterling silver. Very elegant antique french sterling silver chocolate pot with style decoration, side carved handle and double hinged lid. Including a hinged which opens to include the mixing stick, which is used to stir and whisk the contents without losing heat. It is extremely rare to find such a complete service with in addition to the coffee pot and teapot, a samovar and the chocolate pot, it is even rarer that these pieces are made of sterling silver, these are usually silver plated. A massive pieces of high quality. Once again, the Maison Tetard shows that it is one of the most prestigious silversmith of the world.
