Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Creamer, Cream Jug

About the Item

A very pretty vintage Art Deco era sterling silver Creamer or cream jug. It is a small squat little jug with a bulbous body and a small scroll handle. Perfect for afternoon tea or as a tea for one piece. A pretty piece made from solid sterling silver, it is hallmarked on the outer rim near the top of the jug. The marks are very worn but it is circa 1930s Measures: 3.5" width 2.25" height 2" diameter 41 grams Free worldwide shipping.

    A fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver sparrow beak style creamers, boxed; an addition to our silver teaware collection. These impressive antique Victorian sterling silver cream jugs have a plain baluster sparrow beak style form onto a circular spreading foot. The body of each jug is embellished to one side with two impressive bright cut engraved crests, a stag's head erased and a thistle erect, leaved below the motto ‘Yvery’. The jugs are fitted with opposing scroll handles, each ornamented with a subtle plain thumb piece. These impressive antique cream jugs have sparrow beak style spouts. These cream jugs are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and push fit catch. The interior of the box bears the retailer’s mark ‘William Angus & Sons Silversmiths, 27 & 29 Lord Street, Liverpool’.
