Vintage George VI Sterling Silver Tobacco Box Art Deco Style

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive vintage George VI English sterling silver Art Deco tobacco box/canister; an addition to our diverse silver boxes collection. This exceptional vintage George VI sterling silver box has a plain cylindrical form. The surface of the body is plain and unembellished with applied stepped moulded borders to the upper and lower rims. This canister is fitted with the original embossed tiered push fit cover surmounted with an impressive Art Deco style Bakelite ball finial accented with a silver plateau to the upper portion. This impressive example of vintage silverware was originally a tobacco box, however, by virtue of its size this versatile box could be used for a multitude of functions. Condition This vintage silver tobacco box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The box has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the box are all very clear. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of vintage silverware.
