1960s Lundtofte, Denmark and Dana Stainless DFA Service Set

About the Item

Stainless steel table service set from the 1960's. It is composed of: 3 deep platters, 3 smaller, shallow platters, 4 candlesticks, 3 pots (2 sauce, 1 milk), Salt and pepper shakers. The platters (two of which have covers) have wood handles. Three of the platters are set on a woven bamboo structure. Some of the pieces are marked: Denmark Lundtofte Stainless Steel and DKF (Dansk KnivFabrik). Others are marked: Dana Stainless DFA - Denmark. This set was possibly designed by Tias Eckhoff, Erik Herlow, and Lone Sachs, all of whom collaborated with Lundtofte during the 1950s and 1960s, circa 1960 Rectangular, deep platter, without cover: L 15.6 in (39.5 cm), W 9.8 in (25 cm), H 2.8 in (7 cm) Square, deep platters, with covers: L 11.8 in (30 cm), W 8.7 in (22 cm), H 4.3 in (11 cm).
