American Art Deco Chase Chrome & Amber Bakelite "Sphere Sugar & Pitcher Set"
About the Item
This American Art Deco chrome and amber Bakelite 3-piece set made its first appearance in the Chase catalogue of 1936 as the "Sphere Sugar and Pitcher Set". It is comprised of the "Sugar Sphere", the "Sphere Pitcher" and the "Incidental Tray" (it had previously been marketed as the 2-piece "Breakfast Set" without the tray). All three pieces were designed by the husband and wife Chase design team of Ruth and William Gerth. All three pieces are in good vintage condition, fully signed with the Chase centaur mark and display beautifully.
