About the Item
An antique Japanese Meiji period enamel charger plate. The plate is adorned with a central medallion featuring an image of butterflies surrounded by images of blossoming flowers made in the Cloisonne technique. The backside is adorned with a scaly motif made in the same technique. Unmarked. Circa late 19th century to the early 20th century.
