The neck of this silver water jug is embellished with impressive embossed fluted decoration, flanked with broad bands of reed ornamentation.
The bulbous body is ornamented with further embossed graduating convex fluted decoration to the lower portion, accented with embossed and chased decorated foliate festoons suspended from oval floral medallions.
The body is further ornamented with a matte textured panel conjoining the aforementioned graduating flutes and festoons.
This exceptional example of antique silverware is fitted with a plain rounded handle.
This interior of this 1800's sterling silver jug retains the original gilding.
