About the Item

Product Description This casserole was designed by Kaj Franck for Arabia in 1951. From 1953 onwards the item has been produced under the series name "Kilta", production stopped in 1974. Iittala re-introduced the designs (whilst making small changes) in a series called "Teema" from 1981 onwards. I believe, based on the feel and looks of the item, that this casserole is part of the earlier "Kilta" series but I am not sure as there is no stamp or sticker attached to the object. The Kilta, and Teema series have been produced in many different colors such as turquoise, white and blue. Regardless, the item has a very pleasant delicate form and a cream-yellow color. The item is heat-resistant so it can be used in an oven. I recommend to use it, it durable and will not fail you. Kaj Franck, the designer of this item, is famous for both his glass- and earthenware work. Kaj Franck's work is stunningly elegant yet cheerful. Most of Kaj Franck's work is functional, some of his designs are by now so famous (and thereby expensive) that one might think twice about actually using the items :). Product Condition: The casserole is in very good condition. The only mentionable irrgeularity is the small patch of missing paint on the inside of the lid's handle.

Suku Park - Porcelain Bowl
Located in MAASTRICHT, LI
Product description: This bowl, designed by Korean artist Suku Park, is made with very fine, thin porcelain. The porceiain is thin enough such that when you shine light on it some of it will pass through the material. The raised edges of the bowl are perforated (by design) giving the otherwise clean item a little organic touch. I would like to recommend to display the item on its own in a room with minimalist design. The designer Suku Park was born in 1947 in Seoul, Korea and moved to Sweden in 1974 where he graduated from the Swedish State School...
