Art Deco Bakelite and Glass Chopstick Knife Rests Set, 12 pieces in box
About the Item
This elegant Art Deco set of twelve Bakelite knives or chopstick rests was crafted in France in the 1930s. The modernist shape has a long glass rod and geometric side holders in red tea amber marble Bakelite. There is no visible maker's mark, and the set is still in its original gift box.
The gift box is in used condition. One knife rest has a tiny crack in the bakelite side. Check the close-up.
Measurements (for one): 3.75 in wide (9.5 cm) x 1.19 in deep (3 cm) x 0.82 in high (2 cm).
Gift box: 9.44 in wide (24 cm) x 10.25 in deep (26 cm) x 1.57 in high (4 cm).
Note: Measurements in item detail are for the storage box. Silver plate cutlery and Bakelite chopsticks are not included in the sale.
