About the Item

This stunning Art Deco ensemble of twelve Macassar wood and chromed metal knife or chopstick rests was crafted in France circa 1930. The tableware serving pieces feature a modernist shape with a square stick bar and geometric carved wood sides. There is no visible designer's mark. The table accessories are still in their original gift box. Dimensions (for one): 2.94 in wide (7.5 cm) by 0.63 in deep (1.5 cm) by 0.63 in high (1.5 cm). The gift box is 10.44 in wide (26.5 cm) by 3.75 in deep (9.5 cm) by 1.57 in high (4 cm). Note: Silver-plate cutlery and Bakelite chopsticks are not included in the sale. The measurements in the item detail are for the gift box alone.
