Delafosse by Christofle silver plated flatware set of 137 pieces. This set includes: 12 dinner size knives, 9 3/4", 12 dinner size forks, 8 5/8", 12 luncheon knives (some blade wear), 8 1/4", ten luncheon forks, 7 3/8", 12 teaspoons, 5 3/4",12 dessert spoons, 7 3/8", 12 fish knives, flat handle, bright-cut, 8 5/8", 12 fish forks, bright-cut, 7 1/2", 12 dinner spoons, 8 1/2", 11 demitasse spoons, 3 5/8", one ice tong, 6 1/4", one serving spoon, 9 1/2", one cold meat fork, 9 5/8", one salad serving set, gold-washed, 10 3/8", one roast carving set, two-piece, some wear to steel, 12 3/4" and 11 1/4", 1 soup ladle, 12 3/4", 12 knife rests, 4" L x 1 3/8" H.
Includes bonus brand new storage chest.
Very good estate condition (some blade wear on the luncheon knives are carving set). Matching monogram (see photo) on all pieces, except for the dinner knives, which are not monogrammed. This set will be hand polished and sealed in individual plastic sleeves prior to shipping.
Delafosse by Christofle French silverplate was made in the Napoleon III Empire style. It was named for Maurice Delafosse, 1870-1926, France. He was described as "one of the most outstanding French colonial administrators and ethnologists of his time".
