Fine Pair of Neoclassical Inspired German Silver Double Salt Cellars, circa 1830

About the Item

A very elegant pair of neoclassical inspired silver double salt cellars of navette form, both showing richly gilded and divided interiors and up-swept open handles, raised overall upon an oval foot bearing town marks for Leipzig, including silver marks denoting .750 silver purity together with 'Tremolierstrich' scratch marks, makers marks are partially rubbed. Combined weight, 252 grams (8.10 troy ounces). Both remain in very good overall condition, and are priced competitively in comparison to similar examples in the marketplace.
