Impressive 19th Century Love Token Herb Cutter

A fine Antique herb cutter of exceptional quality and design. Gracefully curved steel blade pierced with an intricate design of two lovebirds, symbolising romance and harmony. The craftsmanship suggests it was a treasured kitchen tool. Such intricate work elevates this everyday object into a work of art. The curved steel blade is of the highest quality ensures the efficient chopping of herbs, with the additional tooled detail to the decoration. The flamboyant beech wood handle is naturally patinated by time and use. The Lovebirds add a remarkable element of whimsy and suggest this may well have been a wedding, anniversary gift or love token.
