About the Item

A very fine pair of George III Silver Gilt Old English Thread Pattern Sifter Spoons Made in London in 1789 by George Smith and William Fearn The Sifter Spoons are modelled in the Old English Thread Pattern which is double struck. The circular bowls are pierced with crosses and roundels, in addition to an outer border of stylised foliate scrolls. Both pieces are in excellent condition and are well marked on the reverse. As you will appreciate, it is difficult to find a pair of sifter spoons. Additional information: Length: 6.3 inches, 15.75 cm. Diameter of the bowl: 2 inches, 5 cm.
