About the Item

A fully functional signature "FUTURIT" coffee grinder (also applicable for various spices) in orange color is out for sale. As a prime example for the 1930s era design in Europe, FUTURIT manufactured good quality of household goods for the everyday use. The company headquarters were located in Budapest, Hungary. The midcentury-styled manual coffee grinder comes with a bright and great looking orange color. The product has a well-structured bakelite body. It has a clear plastic lid on top colored in a slightly darker shade of red where the coffee beans go in. This slight contrast of colors are aesthetically pleasing. The drawer under for ground coffee is removable. All separate bakelite pieces are in good condition and working order. It also has a metal crank with a bakelite handle and a mechanism regulator placed on the axis to settle the thickness of the grinding. The small container, which is also in good condition with a slight inside damage is used for the collection of the ground coffee. Still in superb working condition, this coffee grinder is still in great condition in general with a few traces of wear around. Apart from a very few minor rust marks on the grinding handle which are the most visible due to the consistent everyday usage of the product, probably the small scratch in the bakelite material (as photographed in the pictures) on one of the outer corner of the grinder is the only flaw of the product worth to mention. Yet, this also is an optical, not a functional faulty of the model. It has also the mark of the FUTURIT Company on the back.
