Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Plain Triangular Dish, Made In Denmark

About the Item

A blue/white fluted pickle dish from Royal Copenhagen. The design was based on an antique chinese pattern and was created in 1775 by Royal Copenhagen. Arnold Krog, the artistic director of Royal Copenhagen from 1884 to 1916, revised the design in 1885. The pattern is called "Blue Fluted Plain" or "Pattern No. 1". The pattern is still manufactured by Royal Copenhagen, but it appears the triangular dish, # 27, has been discontinued. The plate is fully marked on the back, the mark indicates the plate was manufactured between 1923 to 1934. The plate measures 9 inches wide and is 1 1/4 inches tall. Made In Denmark.
