Bisque Leo Statute By Pia Langelund For Royal Copenhagen

Beautiful bisque, matte white, statue of a man designed by Pia Langelund for Royal Copenhagen. The statue is one of the zodiac figures and this statue represents Leo. Designed probably sometime in the 1990's and has been discontinued.The sculpture measures approximately 10 1/4 inches tall, 4 1/2 inches at its widest and 4.25 inches deep. The statue is fully marked on the bottom. Pia Langelund (1960-) completed her education at Kolding School of Design in Denmark in 1990. Langelund is a ceramicist and designer for Royal Copenhagen since 1991. She creates expressive figurine sculptures in black and white bisquit.
