The condition is very good with here or there some traces of crazing or very slight signs of gently normal use. All pieces with the exception of the serving bowl piece have the handwritten signature Morvan on the back. Morvan refers to other the name of the earthenware factory and its location, a French province rich in history, with rugged and wild landscape. The paternity of the workshop is attributed to Gabriel Verduron who settled in Tamnay-en-Bazois in 1941. The Morvan style is easily recognisable by the place given to cooler and abstract decorations most often on biscuits with classic shapes. This service with a strong personality will fond its place in any rustic or modern universe.
