Stig Lindberg, Salix, Trio Set, Gustavsberg (x3)

About the Item

Product Description: This popular series called Salix, designed by Stig Lindberg for Gustavsberg, draws attention due to the delicate lines drawn on the pure white and transparent bone china. Essentially this item is co-authored, the form-design comes from Stig Lindberg whereas the drawing on the cup and saucer is attributed to Bibi Berger. The drawings resemble beautiful willow leaves. Since 2008 the item has been revived with a slightly different form, but the work for sale here is the "original" vintage item and not the remake. After her job at Gustavsberg, Bibi - together with her husband Carl-Arne Breger - founded Breger Design producing the famous "VattenKanna". The rounded shape of the cup fits comfortably in your hand, making it a wonderful work both artistically and practically. Product Condition: The cups, saucers and cake plates are in a very nice condition given their age. Some paint loss and jumps can be seen on the whole. On the inside of one of the cups there are some brown-coloured dots that are likely a result of production imperfections. On one of the cups a blue dot is visible on the inside. Weight (cup): 100 grams Weight (saucer): 130 grams Weight (cake plate): 270 grams Height (cup): 6 cm Height (saucer): 2 cm Height (cake plate): 2.2 cm Diameter (cup): 6.5 cm Diameter (saucer): 13 cm Diameter (cake plate): 17 cm
