Vintage Cutlery Set by Helmut Alder for Esta, Sub-Brand of Amboss Austria

About the Item

This timeless cutlery/flatware set from the 1960s-70s was designed by Helmut Alder for Esta - a Sub-brand of well-known Amboss Neuzeughammer Austria - on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the company Neuzeughammer Steyr in 1969. Helmut Alder, born in Graz, Austria, in 1924, was one of the most successful Austrian architects to design cutlery, along with Oswald Haerdtl, Carl Auböck and Karl Hagenhauer. The set, composed of six knives, six forks, six spoons and six dessert spoons, is in overall good condition. Dimensions: Knives: circa 20 x 1.8 cm Forks: circa 18.7 x 3.4 cm Spoons: circa 18.7 x 4.5 cm Dessert spoons: circa 6 x 3 cm.
